Beware of " All in one companies
" - Hire professionals
for professional results.
Painters , carpenters or landscaping companies
are not a good and safe choice for your power washing needs.

Remember
:
- Try
not to rush into starting the project.
- Get
estimates from more than one reputable contractor.
- Find
out what neighbors are paying for similar work.
- Beware
of contractors who claim: "I can get to you right
away and do it cheap."
- Write
down the license plate number and driver's license number
of anyone offering services.
- Ask for before &
after pictures of previous projects
- Get
a contract in writing. It should cover what work is
to be done, cost and the quality / brand of chemicals
to be used.
- Be
careful that your signature on a contractor's bid is
not an authorization to begin work.
- Don't
pay more that 20%-50% down for the contractor to begin
work - depending on the type of the project . Then,
pay periodically, according to the progress of the work.
- If
the contractor insists on payment for materials up front,
then go with him or her to buy the materials or pay
the supplier yourself.
- Don't
make final payment until the job is finished and you
are satisfied with it.
- Beware
of the lowest bid. Contractors who low-ball are probably
cutting corners or may not be experienced enough to
do the job right
- The
" good faith estimate " - $99
deck washing scam is the perfect example - at
the end on average customer end up paying hundreds more
just for washing - ask about everything in writing
- The
most critical factor in choosing a contractor is how
well you and he communicate. All things being equal,
it's better to spend more and get someone you're comfortable
with.
Ask if contractor is using professional
equipment and contractor grade chemicals
